Description
The name "Trinidad" is the Spanish word for "Trinity" as submitted by an early resident Gabriel Gutierrez. Trinidad became a stopover on the Mountain Branch of the Santa Fe Trail bearing a reminder of the gently curving ruts of mule and oxen wagons drawn by travelers.
